  • Green & Green Styled Desk

    Green & Green Styled Desk

    42"l x 21"w x 29"h
    Spalted pecan, cocobolo accents.

The uniquely marked wood was selected to appeal to the 6 year old it was commissioned for. It was designed to serve her through adulthood and crafted with traditional joinery to be useful still to her grandchildren.

Available custom built. $2500 to $4500 depending on wood selection and size

  • Waned Edge Coffee Table

    Waned Edge Coffee Table

    62"l x 21"w x 19"h
    Mesquite

    Texas Naturals Series:
This single slab of mesquite came from deep South Texas. Though the sawyer trimmed it to a rectangle, a corner of one side trailed off in bark and sapwood, offering a perfect opportunity for carving. Another piece of wood might suggest a similar approach, but this is one of a kind. There won't be another just like it.

Available custom built. $1650 to $1850

    Horned toad carving.

  • Asian Console Table

    Asian Console Table

    66"l x 16"w x 34" h
Black walnut, curly maple, glass, stainless steel.

Although this design was directly influenced by Japanese design, (for instance, Torii gates), echoes of that tradition are also seen in Arts & Crafts and Danish Modern furniture as well. This piece was shown in the 2009 Texas Furniture Makers' Show in Kerrville, Texas.

Available custom built. $2450 to $2800

    Asian Console, 3 quarter view.

  • Tri-Leg Stool

    Tri-Leg Stool

    29"l x 16"w x 19"h
    Mesquite

    Texas Naturals Series:
The understated legs shift visual interest to the waned edge, contrasted by the formally carved seat. The legs are set solidly in the slab seat via 1 1/5" square mortise and tenon joints.

    One of a kind. $575

  • Mission Styled Side Table

    Mission Styled Side Table

    17"w x 27"d x 23"h
    Quartersawn white oak

In a departure from the Stickley originals, the proportions are lighter as is the natural color in lieu of the dark fumed finish prevalent in the Arts & Crafts era. Each table requires 48 mortise and tenon joints. Drawers are of dovetail construction with maple sides and bottom.

  • Texas Naturals Bench

    Texas Naturals Bench

    48"l x 14"w x 19 1/2"h
    Black walnut

    Texas Naturals Series:
The contrast between the formally styled support structure and the natural fluidity of the seat generates visual drama. The intricate joinery is adapted from Japanese timber framing traditions, and further influenced by the work of George Nakashima.

    One of a kind. $1250

    Joinery of the base.

  • Green & Green Styled Gateleg Table

Green & Green Styled Gateleg Table

    62"l x 42"w x 29"h
    Pecan

The dropleaf/gateleg concept has been around a long time. The design allows the width of this table to be reduced to 14".

It was commissioned by an Oregon couple who wanted to make room for drum kit, keyboards and multiple amplifiers after dinner with musician friends.

Available custom built. $2350 to $2700

  • Camel Backed Chest

    Camel Backed Chest

    18"l x 14"w x 14"h
Unidentified primary wood, ebonized mahogany, cedar, cast brass hardware.

This chest with coopered top was built for an Old Timers award at the annual meeting of a Texas police officers organization. The single 1" x 12" board used was the only one of it's kind in a mixed lot, salvaged from a Missouri barn, brought to Texas 20 years ago and stored unused, again. Nobody consulted to date has been able to identify it.

Available custom built. $850 to $1250

  • Blanket Chest

    Blanket Chest

    60"l x 24"w x 24"h
Spalted pecan, red maple, aromatic cedar.

This blanket chest was made to fit across the foot of a queen sized bed. The post and panel structure is spalted pecan with Shaker style raised panels of maple. The bottom is lined with aromatic cedar, as is a lift out sliding tray.

Available custom built. $850 to $1250

    Greene & Green Book Shelves

    36"w x 11"d x 42"h

This piece is constructed to be knocked down for moving or storage. After removing the back, simply knock out the tusk tenons and disassenble the whole piece.

  • Display Cabinet

    Display Cabinet

    24"w x 27"h x 8"d
    Quartersawn white oak, stained glass

This is a custom made variation of a mahogany wall cabinet of mine the client had seen and liked. Meant to display prized crystal, it sits on a console table before a glass wall, thus the glass back side. The client, an architect and admirer of Frank Lloyd Wright designed the stained glass for the door himself.

Available custom built. $650 to $950

  • Sculptured Burl Bowl

    Sculptured Burl Bowl

    18"diam. x 8 1/2"h
    Cedar burl

    Texas Naturals Series:
This burl hung around the studio for several months before telling me what it wanted to become. Rather than imposing a mechanically perfect round form with the lathe, I chose to follow it's natural shape by carving it.

    Available $800

  • Arts & Crafts Laundry Hamper

    Arts & Crafts Laundry Hamper

    11 1/2"w x 15"d x 27 1/2"h
    Quartersawn white oak, reclaimed walnut

Begun to fulfill a pedestrian role in our own household, flashes of inspiration during the building process resulted in a rather complex piece for such a mundane function. However, the pierced four-square motif and inlay enhance the Arts and Crafts styling nicely.

    Available custom built. $650
